Located only 15 minutes outside of St. Moritz, Sils Maria is recognized as the cultural centre of the Engadin and has inspired world famous writers, philosophers, artists and musicians.

Chesa Marchetta, located in the centre of the village, was previously an acclaimed restaurant and pensiun owned by the Godly family from 1947. During this period it played host to many well-known names including Gerhard Richter and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Each of the 13 bedrooms, uniquely designed by Luis Laplace, are furnished with traditional Engadin furniture and artwork by local artists and artisans that reflect the history of the hotel and the surrounding area.

The restaurant, which takes its inspiration from Maria and Christina Godly’s famous and traditional use of seasonal ingredients, is open daily for dinner and offers a menu that celebrates the marriage of Italian and Swiss cultures.
