Is the year of 'Revenge Travel' here? Dream holiday bookings surge this January

VistaJet, the world’s first and only global business aviation company, is experiencing a surge in travel bookings for 2023 as existing and new VistaJet Members evoke a reinvigorated passion for ultimate explorations – with statistics revealing a staggering year-on-year growth for bookings in January. Booking figures for the first half of January 2023 saw an incredible increase of 85% year-on-year, and an increase of 140% compared to 2021.

Through its unique subscription membership model, paying only for the hours they fly, VistaJet Members also have rare access to the world's most incredible experiences as part of the VistaJet Private World portfolio, a collection of the world’s finest accommodations and destinations.

"In January we dream of creating incredible, lifelong memories for the year ahead – New Year’s Resolutions inspiring us to see more, explore more, be bolder and more imaginative. This is driving people to dream big. Our VistaJet Members are yearning to explore corners of the world for moments that enrich their souls."

Matteo Atti, Vista’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Revenge Travel is Driving the Agenda

VistaJet also reports that its Members’ wish to plan new adventures is being heightened by a ‘Revenge Travel’ feel - a term describing the desire to travel better than ever before to make up for time lost during the pandemic.

"It’s time to celebrate our freedom to travel the world and make unimaginable and unforgettable memories. While 2022 was the year in which global travel became possible again, 2023 is the year in which Members are planning incredible getaways with friends, family, or even solo adventures."

Matteo Atti, Vista’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Whilst 2023 is being lined up as a year for increased travel, building on a strong 2022 which saw VistaJet report record growth of 50% in flight revenues, the clientele preferences for individualised and bespoke experiences will see a further shift in 2023 booking patterns. “Following a rush of travel post-pandemic, to reactivate business and relationship links, we now expect clients to be more selective, placing high value on fulfilling experiences that fuel their thirst for fun, knowledge and personal growth in 2023.
