VistaJet expands into Middle East
November 2008
VistaJet strengthens its presence in the Middle East and complements its already buoyant charter business with its revolutionary Flight Solutions
DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, 16th November, 2008 – Today at MEBA 2008, VistaJet Holding S.A., a privately-owned company headquartered in Switzerland and the fastest growing business jet company outside North America, announced aggressive expansion plans into the flourishing Middle East private jet market. VistaJet is deploying a full roll-out of its revolutionary Flight Solutions, including Jet Membership, Partnership, and Ownership programs. It is also appointing local sales representatives and will open regional offices.
The move signals VistaJet’s commitment to the Middle East and enables the company to expand its revolutionary Flight Solutions further into the growing Middle Eastern market and underlines the escalating worldwide demand of business aviation solutions. VistaJet currently has a thriving jet charter business in Dubai on an impressive all-Bombardier state-of-the-art business jet aircraft fleet.
With its recent landmark $1.2 billion order for up to 60 new Bombardier jets, the VistaJet fleet will soon number 90 medium to ultra-long-range aircraft. In June, the acquisition of Skyjet International - Bombardier’s charter services division – established VistaJet as one of the world’s largest private jet companies.
“We are launching a major initiative that will encourage, stimulate and support the private jet business in the Middle East,” explained Bing Chen, VistaJet CEO. “Our key aim is to couple affordability with pure luxury by offering superior alternative solutions to the traditional jet charter and fractional / whole ownership offerings.”
Says Chen, “Our Flight Solutions open up a new chapter in business aviation, revolutionizing the way people use business jets. Under VistaJet’s whole aircraft ownership program, for example, our customers may purchase a new Challenger 605 aircraft and begin flying immediately. They pay one simple quarterly payment based on their hourly commitment, which, in many cases, is lower than the traditional direct operating costs of the aircraft. There are no fixed fees, no maintenance expenses, and no monthly management fees. This is an exceptional package for an aircraft of this capability and range.”
VistaJet is projecting a 50-percent increase in its revenues this year and expects its fleet to be logging around 80,000 flight hours annually by 2012. The company has also launched its business in Asia recently, by placing aircraft at the newly opened Subang Airport in Kuala Lumpur where it is establishing an operating base for the Asian market.
